Trauma Therapy
Empowering You to Embrace Change and Thrive

What It Is
Trauma can take many forms and affect every part of life. It shows up in thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and physical sensations. Trauma therapy helps individuals process experiences that have left them feeling stuck, unsafe, or disconnected, and works to restore a sense of control and wellbeing.
Why It Matters?
Unprocessed trauma can influence relationships, self-esteem, and daily functioning. People often
notice repeated patterns, anxiety, flashbacks, or emotional numbness. Understanding and
addressing trauma is key to breaking these patterns and reclaiming a sense of safety and stability in life.
How Therapy Helps
In trauma therapy, we provide a safe, structured space to process past experiences. This may include exploring difficult memories, learning coping skills, and practicing strategies to manage triggers. Therapy is paced to your needs, helping you gradually build resilience and self-understanding.

Our Approach
At Free to Be Therapy, our clinicians are trained in evidence-based trauma therapies, including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for children and teens, and Cognitive
Processing Therapy (CPT) for adults. Therapy is trauma-informed, client-centered, and flexible. Brainspotting, DBT, and other modalities may also be integrated as appropriate, creating a comprehensive, individualized plan for healing.
Getting Started
If you are looking for support with trauma, the first step is scheduling a consultation. In that call, we can discuss your experiences, answer your questions, and explore whether trauma therapy feels
like the right fit for you.
