Meet Jasmyne
Empowering You to Thrive
Hey y’all, I’m Jasmyne.
I grew up in a family where emotions were something you kept in your pocket. We didn’t talk about them. We moved on. We showed up. We kept going. I followed that same path for a long time. Then, in 2013, my sister passed away unexpectedly. In 2014, my brother died. Nothing about my life has been the same since.
Those losses cracked something open in me. I didn’t want to just survive anymore. I wanted to understand what I was carrying, how it shaped me, and what healing could actually look like. Therapy gave me the space to finally unpack all the unspoken things. Not just the pain, but the tenderness too. And somewhere along the way, I realized I wanted to hold that kind of space for others.
At Free to Be Therapy, I work with people who are navigating the quiet, aching space between how life should be and how it actually is. Maybe you thought you’d be further along by now. Maybe you’re grieving someone or something that never had a name. Maybe you’ve been holding everything together for so long that you’re not even sure what you feel anymore. I get that. I’ve lived that.
My clinical work is grounded in trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and a deep belief in people’s capacity to grow. I specialize in relational trauma, substance use recovery, and identity exploration during major life transitions. I’m also trained in Brainspotting and certified in
Financial Social Work, because I believe healing needs to be both emotional and practical.
Outside the therapy room, I’m a college football fan, a master baker, and a music lover with way too many playlists. I’m always rooting for people to feel more free and more whole, whatever that looks like for them.
