Perinatal Mental Health
Because every journey to parenthood deserves understanding and support.

What It Is
Pregnancy and postpartum are often painted as joyful seasons. For many parents, they can also bring fear, sadness, anxiety, or grief. Perinatal mental health therapy provides space to talk about the realities that often go unseen, whether that is postpartum depression, perinatal anxiety, fertility struggles, miscarriage, or the loss of a baby.
Why It Matters
When you are struggling during pregnancy or after birth, it can feel isolating and overwhelming. You may wonder if you are failing or why your experience does not match what others describe. If you have experienced miscarriage or infant loss, you may feel invisible in your grief. These feelings are not a personal flaw — they are signs that you deserve support.

How Therapy Helps
In therapy, we work together to make sense of your experience, give language to the emotions you may have been holding in silence, and build tools that support your well-being in this season. That might look like learning new ways to manage anxious thoughts, grieving losses that others do not always recognize, or simply having a place where you can speak honestly about what it is like to be you right now.

Our Approach
At Free to Be Therapy, perinatal mental health support is offered with compassion and without judgment. We honor the complexity of this time and the many emotions that come with it. Our clinicians have specialized training in perinatal mental health and bring both knowledge and empathy to this work. Therapy here is about creating space for your story and walking with you as you find steadier ground. We’d love to support you in your parenthood journey.

Getting Started
If you are navigating pregnancy, postpartum, fertility challenges, miscarriage, or infant loss and want support, the first step is scheduling a consultation. Together we can talk about what you are facing and whether therapy feels like the right fit.
