Meet Jasmyne
Hey there! I’m Jasmyne, and it's nice to meet you (electronically)
Who Am I?
Hello, I’m JASMYNE, and I’m truly glad you’re here.
I founded Free To Be Therapy with one simple vision — to create a safe and nurturing space where you can show up exactly as you are. No judgment. No pressure. Just openness, compassion, and genuine support as you rediscover your sense of self and strength.
My Story and Why I do This
From an early age, I was drawn to understanding people — their stories, emotions, and the invisible threads that shape how we relate to ourselves and others. Over time, I recognized how many people suffer in silence: feeling unseen, unheard, or afraid to bring their whole selves into light.
Watching friends, family, and even clients struggle with self-doubt, relational pain, and life transitions led me to commit deeply to the field of therapy. I earned my master's degree in Social Work from the University of Alabama, and I’ve worked for over 10 years helping individuals, couples, families, and adolescents find healing, clarity, and authentic self-expression.
It didn’t feel enough to just “provide therapy.” I wanted a place where people are truly free to be who they are — to show up imperfectly, vulnerably, and still feel held, respected, and safe. That is the heart of Free To Be Therapy.
What’s my philosophy & approach to Therapy?
- Safety & Nonjudgment-I believe healing begins in a space where you can be honest without fear. Every person deserves a warm, nonjudgmental environment to explore their inner world.
- Client-Centered & Collaborative-I don’t come with one-size-fits-all solutions. Together, we decide what feels most useful in each moment — whether that’s talk therapy, expressive modalities, mindfulness work, or relational exploration.
- Holistic & Inclusive-Mental health is interconnected with identity, body, culture, relationships, and spiritual life. I approach you as a whole person, honoring your background, values, and lived experience.
- Growth Through Connection-Changes happen in the spaces between therapy, real life, and relationships. I aim not just to help you through your struggles, but to strengthen your capacity for connection — with yourself and others.
My style is warm, collaborative, and heart-centered. I believe in meeting you where you are, walking beside you, and honoring the pace that feels right for you. Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” — it’s about understanding, accepting, and transforming.
I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, but more than anything, I focus on you — your story, your strengths, your truth. Together, we’ll explore the parts of you that need care and help you reconnect with your sense of peace, purpose, and possibility.
